friendship...
posted: Sat, Aug 21, 2004 08:14:26 AM

it is true that when i arrived here i lacked any friends and my family only let me hang arouind because they had to. as i progressed along this path i have gotten to make some very deep and abiding friendships, i also have had to learn how to let go.
and it is the letting go part i have the greatest difficulty with, somehow i have gotten the mistaken notion that once i develop a friendship, that nothing changes. we are friends forever, forgiving each other's foibles, and walking lockstep towards the future. the actual TRUTH in this matter is that everything changes and evolves especially relationships. so i guess that just for today i will learn to adcept my changing relationships and dael with the new realities as presented today.

☯ The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao ☯

THE TAO TEH KING, OR THE TAO AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS
by Lao-Tse
Translated by James Legge

Book 1

3) We meet it and do not see its Front; we follow it, and do not see
its Back. When we can lay hold of the Tao of old to direct the things
of the present day, and are able to know it as it was of old in the
beginning, this is called (unwinding) the clue of Tao.
