∞ indirectly repairing the damage done ∞
posted: Fri, Jun 3, 2005 06:12:45 AM

of course this reading does not apply to me this morning, i no longer have to make amends because i am no longer causing any damage. NOT!
it was nice reminder to me that any amends i may make directly needs to followed-up with indirect amends that change the way i think and behave, otherwise i will keep doing the exact same harm. hurting, amending and hurting again, by any definition a cycle of insanity.
so although i do not have a whole lot to say on this subject today, i will say that i need to be reminded that living this program means more than apologizing when i cause damage, i need the desire to change and grow. the only way i will build that desire is to change my attitudes and alter my behavior -- better thinking through action.
