∞ walking the talk ∞

i often wonder if i am walking the talk. do i really ever let anything go? am i ready to have my defects of character removed? do i really promptly make amends to those i hurt? am i just repeating the clichés without ever trying to practice them? do i really believe that i need restoration to sanity? and on and on, ad infintum!
to answer these questions i need to look at the evidence of my behaviors and actions as they are reflected back to me by those with whom i share this journey both in and out of recovery. i also need to inventory how i am feeling.
i believe that most days i do my best to carry these principles into my daily life without no expectations of anyone ever noticing. i also believe that as a frail human being that i do not always choose the most spiritual action in a given situation and that comes with the territory.
i do know that i better at walking the walk than when i got here and if i continue to do those things i need to do on a daily basis to nurture my recovery i will continue to be better at it.
so of course i cannot answer all those tough questions i tortured myself with, but i can take solace that in the fact that i am growing and changing and will become the man that GOD has envisioned, if allow the process to continue.

Book 2

2) How do I know that it is so? By these facts:--In the kingdom the
multiplication of prohibitive enactments increases the poverty of
the people; the more implements to add to their profit that the people
have, the greater disorder is there in the state and clan; the more
acts of crafty dexterity that men possess, the more do strange contrivances
appear; the more display there is of legislation, the more thieves
and robbers there are.
