≅ it is important that i share share honestly about both the pain and the joy ≅

of life in recovery so the newcomer can know that i stay clean no matter what. okay, i am generally not one of those who sugar coats anything, especially when it come to recovery. in fact, my tendency is to go off in the opposite direction, sometimes far too deeply into the dark side of life on life’s terms. be that as it may, honestly sharing about my experience with life and recovery, and HOW i stay clean no matter what, is the concept that came ringing into my ears this morning as i sat down to listen to the voice of the FORCE that powers my recovery. okay enough distractions, time to get this done, so i can take the beast for a walk this morning.
where was i? oh yeah i was going down the path, about honestly sharing my experience with the newcomer as well as the "not so newcomer." after all, the whole package is probably more attractive to someone that is looking at the program, and is certainly more attractive to someone who has a bit of time, and is finding recovery, shall we say, less than exciting anymore. if someone like me, who used for no reason whatsoever can stay clean through the death of friends and families, through the turmoil of career changes, through the stress of working full-time and going to Engineering School full-time, than what i give is the HOPE to others, that regardless of what they are currently experiencing, they too can accomplish staying clean no matter what.
so i am out of anything interesting or even semi-original to say, so i guess i will hit the streets and get my dawg out for a doggie power walk. it is a good day to recover today.
