in good standing? so i have to say, i have had better starts to my morning. instead of going on and on about what has gone wrong, i think i will leave it at that and move along. one of the consequences of my **bad** morning is that i am now on the phone waiting to speak to someone about an issue i am having with my work computer. it simply sucks, but i can live with it.
i can certainly say, that i am glad that there is only a single requirement for membership in the fellowship that has given a life that has these sort of problems. i cannot say for certain where i would be, if once upon a time i had to jump through all sorts of hoops to become a member. back in the day, even that felt like a bar too high for me to reach. i did not want to stop using, all i wanted was some respite form the circumstances that drove me to recovery. today the desire to use has been gone quite some time and i no longer consider it as part of my daily life. living clean has become a way of life and membership in the fellowship is a “given.”
as i am distracted by work stuff and “issues,” i think that i will just be okay and accept that my wait may be hours and hours to have my issues corrected. i will do what i can and when i get through the queue, allow myself the freedom to move into that part of my work day. acceptance and patience seem to be the spiritual principles that i need to exercise in the here and now.

softness and weakness, the concomitants of life.
