≤ sometimes it seems as though there is so much wrong with the world that i might as well forget trying to make a difference ≥

**after all,** i think, **what in the world can i do? i am just one person.**
so as i sit here on yet another gloomy, grey morning, wondering if i really do live in Colorado, i am struck, yes like a Mack truck upside my head, with the notion that even though i cannot change the the weather, perhaps i can make just one person’s life a little bit brighter today. oh yeah, so i do not get in trouble with the FCC, i am not being paid, nor have i received any products or other compensation from the Mack Truck corporation for using their trade name in my blog.
just a little bit of levity there to help brighten my day.
other than looking for opportunities to brighten this gloomy day, one way or another, not a whole bunch is going on inside of me today. well to be more accurate, it does not feel like anything is going on inside of me today. there is more than likely all kinds of stuff happening inside, and either i am not being present for that stuff, or it is just part of the normal background noise that comprises the day-to-day recovery process that is my life. either way it really does not matter.
yes, i would love to change the world: feed the hungry; end war; stop abuse and stop the myriad of seemingly evil events that humans inflict upon each other. i know today, that the reality of what i can do, extends only as far as my voice and hands can reach, so if i start there, who knows what kind of butterfly effect i can send through the world in general. with that thought in mind, i do think i will go trot around the neighborhood with my canine companion.
