well i just finished a long tirade all about self-obsession, entitlement and how soft the groups had become. i clicked the button and BOOM, here i am starting from scratch. it is a good thing that all i have is four hours of work from home to put in today, then i am mostly done 'til Thursday.

having my late shout-out done and having dumped all my vile and venom, on the entry that ended up in the bit bucket, i wonder what is left for me this morning.
how about this, HOW i carry the message, when i am part of the group. i can safely say, that i use, bumper stickers, clichés and slogans as a part of the content i share. i can also say, that i rely less on those bon mots, than on my own experience strength and hope, like, really, what recovery has done for me, is to take the cynic and make him a whole lot more tolerable, than when he was when he walked into the rooms. i may sound a whole lot softer that i did, when i was helping to establish my local fellowship, but inside that velvet glove, is still that fist of recovery steel, waiting to rain down on some poor unsuspecting sap.knowing that, and growing disgusted with all the “SHARING FOR THE NEWCOMER” crap i hear, it is no wonder that i walk out of most meetings feeling less than satisfied. after all, wheat about the still suffering addict, who is not less than thirty days clean. the twelfth step does not say that i carry the message to just newcomers, it specifically says to carry the message to the STILL SUFFERING, without any further qualification. anyhow, i have to shower off and make it to the grocery store. before the rest of the unwashed masses decide that they too, need to go shopping. it is a good day to be clean, and if you want to hear what i think, just ask. that steel fist, is ready to unclench and welcome you to this new way of living.
