☯ my lifelong process ☯

of coming to believe. as i was sitting down to write this i got a text from work saying that i needed to call in and check the web application i support. dammit all, do they not know that i have places to go, people to see, and this little ditty to write! i am seriously considering pounding the person who sent me the text, when i finally get my work computer up and running. after all, it is fVcking Saturday morning.
vitriol out of the way, time to get a bit more spiritual. well that was that, a quickie.
in this space before i have documented how i arrived where i am today, in this process of coming to believe, a quick over view would be diehard agnostic ⇒ my sponsor's ⇒ “Santa God” ⇒ one that i owned but was mainstream ⇒ the POWER that fuels my recovery. when asked by someone about the whole GOD issue, especially those who arrived at a place where the notions of what is and is not GOD, does not work for them, i reply with a quote from my sponsor: “GOD is GOD.” with that seemingly dismissive and snarky answer, everything becomes clear as mud for them, and i always follow it up with: “think about that and i am certain you will start the journey to what you are seeking.” life is almost always very zen-like, especially for someone who has come to a spiritual path that is far from the mainstream in my local fellowship. my desire to be a part of and conform, so i can share my spiritual experience, has caused issues in my past, so i no longer cave into that set of behaviors. i could be arrogant and aloof as well. as i am very familiar with that sort of behavior as well. learning to be true and to be humble, is where this particular 12TH STEP is leading me. today, i can be true and share my experience in terms my peers can understand and yes might even be able to relate to.
my journey is ongoing and i am certain more will be revealed, however, this morning i need to get on down the road, to see all those people, be present for all those events and participate in the life i had planned for the next 2.5 hours. life is a journey and my spiritual journey continues, just for today.

Book 1
2) The report of that fulfilment is the regular, unchanging rule.
To know that unchanging rule is to be intelligent; not to know it
leads to wild movements and evil issues. The knowledge of that unchanging
rule produces a (grand) capacity and forbearance, and that capacity
and forbearance lead to a community (of feeling with all things).
From this community of feeling comes a kingliness of character; and
he who is king-like goes on to be heaven-like. In that likeness to
heaven he possesses the Tao. Possessed of the Tao, he endures long;
and to the end of his bodily life, is exempt from all danger of decay.
