say a little prayer asking for what i need. a very simple way to deal with frustration, especially all the little ones that seem to pop-up in the course of daily living. you know those drivers who insist in traveling in the left lanes twenty miles per hour slower than everyone else, the person who can not make-up their mind at the fast food restaurant counter, or how about the person who tries to sneak through express check-out with thirty items and all of them are produce.
ARGHHHHHHHH!
just thinking about those situations right here makes my blood boil and i am not anywhere close to any of these situations. so this morning's entry in the just for today book is an excellent recipe for dealing with these frustrations and anything else that happens over the course of living.
i have never been good at dealing with life of life's terms not when i was using, not when i was trying to get clean, not when i made the decision to commit to staying clean and even now after some days clean, i can still get worked-up over little silly obstacles that obstruct my path. i am better today than i was however. i no longer instantly raise the middle finger salute to every "slow-mo" driver i happen to run across, in fact i sometimes find myself traveling slower than traffic, and i can be indecisive when my turn to order at the counter comes up, i am after all only human. realizing that makes it easier for me to do something except stew in my own juices over petty annoyances that i really have no power or control over after all. taking a breath and asking for divine guidance is the best solution i have found and the evidence that it works is i am a calmer, less angry person today. and that is a miracle in of itself!

1) If I were suddenly to become known, and (put into a position to)
conduct (a government) according to the Great Tao, what I should be
most afraid of would be a boastful display.
