for my recovery
for me that looks like :

• going to meetings.
• read the available literature.
• work the steps with my sponsor (which of course implies that i have a sponsor and actually call and talk with him.
• work on and maintain my conscious contact with a HIGHER POWER on a a daily basis.
• working with others to give away the gift that was freely given to me.
• and giving back to this program my time and talents, without expectations of reward, through service

is this the easier softer path? that depends on the state of spiritual self today. i do know however, that when i follow these simple actions to the best of my ability everday, i do get a better chance to deal with whatever LIFE happens to throw at me without using or withdrawing into a fantasy world. I CHOOSE TO RECOVER and I TAKE THOSE ACTIONS THAT ARE SUGGESTED because i want to LIVE CLEAN TODAY.
