∞ the word GOD we use for the sake of convenience. ∞

the Power behind the word, however, we use for more than convenience. we use that Power to maintain our freedom from addiction and to ensure our ongoing recovery.
and this is one of the hardest concepts for me to grasp, despite evidence that a POWER GREATER THAN ME, is providing the means for me to stay clean and providing things well beyond my capabilities to achieve, i struggle with the concept of GOD. i know that it is the word itself, and the connotations it brings up that bother me, not the POWER the word expresses. it is the failure of language to adequately express this concept that causes my struggles. and i am amazed that there are still times today when the word itself causes me to shut down and cringe. in those moments, sometimes i have the clarity of mind to say ‘WHOA’ and let me head catch-up with me feelings. most of time in those situations i end-up missing everything that follows the word GOD and miss out on something that may save my life someday.
so for this addict, my task today and every day is to separate the word from the POWER that word implies, and be at peace with my understanding such as it is today!

Let movement go on, and the condition of rest will gradually arise.
