enabling me to live a life free from active addiction.
so it is late in the day and i am just now writing my little ditty for the cyberworld. it was not that i was so busy that i could not write something, it was just that nothing struck me until almost a full day, and after a meeting and the meeting after the meeting. one of my friends had problems with the selection we read this evening. specifically if the solution is not practical that it is not spiritual. it led me to thinking, and of course he has an assignment from it, as i happen to sponsor him. i asked him to find a single example of a spiritual solution that was not practical, so off he goes thinking about a new problem, and i get to spin a bit about it also. well not really, i accept that line without any reservations, ans it ties to the reading from this morning. i have found that is the simple solution to my living problems happens to be very practical also. it is useful and and coincidentally quite spiritual. that solution is the program that has given me this new manner of living. by working the steps and practicing the spiritual principles that the program espouses, i have solved the worst of my living problems, namely me. i would love to to say that somehow life has changed since i got clean, and by all appearances, my life has changed. however it is me that has changed, and that is where the practical aspect of the program comes in. i am no longer living in opposition to my values and the world around me and that is the rersult of the simple program of recovery i have been given.
so off to relax and into a quiet evening at home.
