just for today i can surrender
although there seems little that i need to surrender today, it has been a topic that has been appropriate for the last couple of days

that i have pieces of me that affect others, that it is not healthy to ignore
that i cannot fix anyone including myself
that whatever happens i can be okay
that the suffering i see is not my job to correct

each of these issues have been a part of my meditation lately and i seem to want to hold on to them.
all i can do is take care of myself, work my program and be present for those in my life
the rest will be resolved by powers greater than me
