μ the fellowship is a wonderful learning environment for the recovering addict μ

i am not made to feel stupid at meetings. instead, i find others who have been exactly where i have been and who have found a way out. so as i sit here this morning, at the end of quite a busy couple of hours, and i am still trying to do two or more things at the same time -- dang it!
okay, time to focus on just writing this. what i heard this morning, is that for me to continue the recovery process, i NEED to let go of what i think i know and open my mind to new ideas. i like that idea this morning, although there have been times in my journey when my favorite phrase was "I KNOW!" so as i think about remaining teachable, i also have to think about encouraging the men i sponsor to remain so also. this is neither the time nor the place to say anything more about that, except it is my responsibility to present the program to those who have chosen me as a sponsor, fully and completely.
so off to my scattered day and to see if out of the chaos i can actually accomplish something.

Book 2

1) He who knows these two things finds in them also his model and
rule. Ability to know this model and rule constitutes what we call
the mysterious excellence (of a governor). Deep and far-reaching is
such mysterious excellence, showing indeed its possessor as opposite
to others, but leading them to a great conformity to him.
