¿ i will listen to my conscience and do what is right ¿

my focus will be on principles, not on their personalities, even when they are absolutely, positively wrong, wrong, wrong!
nice start, after all, this is certainly all about me, and you guys are just along for the ride. after a night of being a pain in the butt for my significant other, i feel very rested and ready to roll through the end of my work week. she, unfortunately had to leave the room and i feel sorry for something that i had no control over last night. so today, as i walk through my day, i will remember that those things i do, that i have a bit of power over,and that are unpleasant or annoying to others, will be what i try not to do. kind of like doing the right thing, for the right reason by making a conscious choice not to do something.
anyhow, if you have been following me for any length of time, you have discovered that tolerance is not one of my strongest suits. i often comment on how others behave, what they may say or how they walk through their recovery. most of the time, i use it as a case in point, to illustrate something in me, that is bugging me, but am i actually practicing the principle of anonymity by just not using their names? am i being hateful and hurtful? is this an activity that may need to stop.
all of those questions are certainly good ones, and i will ponder them over the course of the next few days, as i move forward in my life. where exactly does their anonymity stop and mine start? with that question in mind, i think i will leave this for now and get started on my way to work, as i have a lot to accomplish and very little time to get it done. it is a good day to be clean.

☯ The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao ☯

THE TAO TEH KING, OR THE TAO AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS
by Lao-Tse
Translated by James Legge

Book 1

1) Who knows his manhood's strength,
Yet still his female feebleness maintains;
As to one channel flow the many drains,
All come to him, yea, all beneath the sky.
Thus he the constant excellence retains;
The simple child again, free from all stains.

Who knows how white attracts,
Yet always keeps himself within black's shade,
The pattern of humility displayed,
Displayed in view of all beneath the sky;
He in the unchanging excellence arrayed,
Endless return to man's first state has made.

Who knows how glory shines,
Yet loves disgrace, nor e'er for it is pale;
Behold his presence in a spacious vale,
To which men come from all beneath the sky.
The unchanging excellence completes its tale;
The simple infant man in him we hail.
