🏋 it does not 💪

matter why i am here, the simple fact that i keep coming back, is more than enough. this morning, as i phone this ditty in, i know that where once upon a time, i did not want recovery, because there was no way i was an addict. today, i know i am an addict and am grateful for a way of living that is far more than mere abstinence. these days, i have a path that allows me to be something more than a person who believes his own press and lives a lie that he created decades ago. in fact, as i jet off for a vacation in Santa Fe, i can be certain that i will make a mistake or three, have a disagreement or four and find myself having to take responsibility for my part in any of those situations. i may not be grateful for having to do so, but i know that i will survive and just stay clean, just for today.
