my own way, was not a principle i practices before i came to recovery. in fact it was a bit of time clean before i finally accepted that no one was going to cover my a$$.i can say that once i accepted personal responsibility for my physical, emotional and spiritual support, i was given the FREEDOM to live as i desired to live. i have yet to figure out my commute and how to get my daily activities done, before i take off down south., so i am writing this between work activities. life in an office is so strange and different for me, that i am still having a bit of culture shock. i am however, grateful to once again have money coming into my bank account through my own efforts and not relying on savings. as i need a few steps this morning before i get back to work, i will sign-off with a note that i can and will support myself and accept responsibility for my life and my recovery.

THE TAO TEH KING, OR THE TAO AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS

Book 2

3) Therefore the sage is (like) a square which cuts no one (with its
angles); (like) a corner which injures no one (with its sharpness).
He is straightforward, but allows himself no license; he is bright,
but does not dazzle.
