...to fulfill the same purpose, our means and methods may be radically different. so is this about carrying the messages, or working a program? either way i have an opinion and could go on for quite some time about the topic. what i feel this morning is more in the service vein, and my actions over the past few months. have i been source of disunity? perhaps, i certainly have shaken the cobwebs off some of the members i have the privilege to serve with. i have introduced some ideas, that while not adopted now, will probably come back to be revisited in another form. and a member with whom i serve, has not a clue where my real passion lies, not that i have duplicitous in my behavior, it is more that member chooses not to listen. so on the surface, it may be said, that i have not been a unifying force, but i believe that in the long run, the little apple carts i have upset, and the eyes i have opened will make the service body stronger and more unified. this is hardly my swan song, and as to the nature of my service (and i am not soliciting advice here) in the next service cycle will not be determined by me. although i lack specific knowledge of the will of a HIGHER POWER in this respect, i know what, as my friend Derek likes to say, has been put on my heart. the next couple of months will be crucial to see where i end up going and as i progress through the days towards the expiration of my current terms, i will keep in mind, that all any of the members i serve with wants, is to carry the message to the still suffering addict, politics aside, so what happens to me, will be revealed and i will learn to accept it.
so off to the showers and into the real world to meet my responsibilities.

I call it The Great.
