sharing my recovery ∞∞∞

∞∞ with any addict anytime, anywhere or under any circumstances. something that i sometimes have trouble with. i zealously guard my anonymity and this morning's reading seems to imply that somehow anonymity and 12th step work are in conflict.
i see this conflict as balance, although i do not announce to everyone that i am a recovering addict, i still need to be available when asked for help.
balance is always tricky, and at meetings i have already announced who and what i am so in those settings i can share openly and freely.
in my daily life i can still share openly one-on-one when approached by someone with questions or a request for help. i do not need to announce to the world my entire situation to carry the message and i can still be of help.
