δ keeping quiet δ

well i have meditating for a bit now and am still not sure what i am &lsquolistening’ for. i do know that i am better off, more centered and a whole lot less stressed when i find the time to meditate. and as in all things for me, it is all or nothing! so even when i am incapable of quieting the silly internal conversation that runs in my head non-stop, i still go through the motions of practicing meditation nearly every morning.
do i hear my Higher Power‘ when i meditate? quite possibly but i would be lying if i understood what was being said to me. i do know that the quality of my morning meditation is without a doubt improved with practice. i also know that i am not willing to stop meditating to see what happens.
i have become a bit more open-minded over the course of my recovery, and if those who were here before i got it, suggest that daily meditation is essential for maintaining my spiritual condition then i will continue my practice of it. after all the whole point of this journey is to become the man i was always meant to be.

THE TAO TEH KING, OR THE TAO AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS

Book 2

2) It is the way of Heaven not to strive, and yet it skilfully overcomes;
not to speak, and yet it is skilful in (obtaining a reply; does not
call, and yet men come to it of themselves. Its demonstrations are
quiet, and yet its plans are skilful and effective. The meshes of
the net of Heaven are large; far apart, but letting nothing escape.
