🌄 to step out 🏔

into the unknown and do something way out of my comfort zone. it is true it is 7 PM on Sunday night and i am just writing this now. it is also true that today, i was on the summit of South and North Arapahoe peaks, 13,397 and 13,501 feet above sea level, respectively. i am worn out, as the transverse between them was more difficult than i believed it would be and the wind was howling at probably over 30 MPH. four years ago, i gave up climbing one of the easiest 14ers in Colorado, this season i have done five plus some other 13ers. i am not saying that recovery provided the ability to climb mountains, even when i was scared sh!tless, such as today. recovery, did however, give me the desire to do so. i am grateful for that desire and the willingness i needed to make desire a reality.

3) Hence he who (relies on) the strength of his forces does not conquer;
and a tree which is strong will fill the out-stretched arms, (and
thereby invites the feller.)
