😩 finding 😜

the humor in any situation, is something i am striving for today. writing this as i attend my home group meeting, may seem a bit self-obsessed, but i really do not care this morning, as i want to get this done, while getting my weekly dose of male-based recovery. there was once a time when i could not see any value in a gender based meeting, these days, it is the ONLY meeting i attend on a regular basis. all kinds of humor and irony is seeing where my lack of open-mindedness drove me, even in recovery.
i have always been the sort of person who believed sarcasm and irony, were the highest form of humor. as i move into this new skin,” i am starting to feel that the absurdity of my reactions to life in general are just as humorous and i need to allow myself to laugh at that craziness. as i enjoy a cigar and pay attention to what is going down, i see that maybe, just maybe, i let go of what is not going my way and be okay with what is going in the direction i desire.
