🔭 willing to 🔮

explore new directions and see what may come of it, is quiet a topic to wrap my wind around this morning, as i post this quickie. i made a decision this morning to sleep a bit later than usual and then to go for a walk. that mile and a half felt good and my leg is feeling as if it will be more than ready to start training for my ascent to 19,000+ feet above sea level and a continent far, far away. as me and the dawg were walking i had to see what i could make optional this morning and what i “needed” to get done. stopping for coffee on my way to my home group was what i cut, so i could pound this out.
looking at the new directions i may be able to explore today, i have to speak this afternoon at convention and i am a bit nervous. it has been a very long minute since i spoke in front of a group that was not my home group and the last time i spoke at convention, i was pretty terrible. back then it was all about prepping to be a circuit speaker and i saw that as the start of that career. these days, i am quite sure that being a circuit speaker is not for me and i can just be myself and share just my experience, strength and hope and see where it goes. the new direction here? letting go of who i think i am and my need to have others approve of me. how well will that work? well it is time to post this little bu=it of mind-dumpery and find out.

☯ The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao ☯

THE TAO TEH KING, OR THE TAO AND ITS CHARACTERISTICS

Translated by James Legge

Book 2

1) Tao has of all things the most honoured place.
No treasures give good men so rich a grace;
Bad men it guards, and doth their ill efface.
