๐ถ my willingness ๐ถ

to stay clean triggers willingness to improve my life. this has never been more true than these days. after a long minute of not moving forward with my step work, my recent burst of activity in this realm has set in motion an overwhelming desire for me to move forward in my spiritual growth. although my sponse has decided i need some time to “marinate” in my THIRD STEP, i have the desire to move forward into STEP FOUR. i, however, know that i am not always the best judge of where i need to be going, when it comes to my spiritual growth, hence i defer to the men i choose as sponsors to guide me through the steps, in order, exactly as written.
even so, as i figure out how to let go of the huge set of expectations that i put on myself and others, i am feeling a subtle shift in how i see myself and the world around me. i know i want to walk through my day with less stress and less angst and the best way for that to happen to to let go of what it is i cannot possibly change, which according to my current assignment is how the drivers around me are driving. i may not be flipping them off on a regular basis anymore but my fitness tracked indicates i am still not chilling out behind the wheel. i can say i am doing the best that i can, but is that reality or a fantasy? i know that i feel less upset about the drivers around me. i can also say that my reaction to judge them as “assholes” or idiots, is tempered by a pause to consdier if i really want to add that to my count today. with that in mind i am going to hit the road and get some errands completed before i go to work today. it is a great day to be a little bit better and to be willing to follow the path of recovery before me.
