๐ treating my ๐

less-than-perfect self with compassion, is not something i put at the top of my list of things to do, auto-magically. in fact, it has only been recently, in the scheme of things, where i have come to believe i am worth being treated as i want others to treat me and how i attempt to treat them. today, as i attempt to get my brother-in-law's website moved over to my hosting, i am stumbling, fumbling and getting frustrated. i could beat myself up (which i have already done), comment on my lack of skill and intelligence (been there and done that as well), or put the task away for a minute and do some more research. hence, this little exercise to take my mind off of what may be going wrong. i can always make it a sub-directory of my website and just point dns to it, but that is kludgy and not the solution i am seeking.
the seed of this exercise, was the one i chose to take into the void with me this morning. as a result, it was also a topic on which i shared, at my home group, as is often the case. while i was sitting there listening to my peers share, sometimes gritting my teeth as i tolerated one of my peers using “we, you and us” i saw that i really do not have to allow myself to waste my bandwidth on something as trivial as that. i can allow myself to listen without filters, even though that is certainly one of my pet peeves. moving from annoyance to tolerance and yes through to compassion for myself, is a journey i could have undertaken, rather than fuming about stuff over which i have little or no control. sitting here in the here and now, i see my path forward. i am going to let go of what i cannot control and allow the world to turn as it will. it is moire than time to fire my internal, judge, jury and executioner and learn to live out from under their ominous shadow, just for today.
