↔ seeing through the seventh step ↔

funny, this is yet another reading i could swear that i have never read, one of those that went in and out without making an impression on me.
... so it goes...
well the impression i get today is that i need to filter the behaviors of those i see around me through the filter of the seventh step. while my shortcoming and defects of character still haunt me, i expect those around me to tolerate my human failings and forgive me for my indiscretions. however, i have trouble being tolerant of theirs. i know this goes directly to several of my character defects, but that does not excuse me from being judgmental, rigid and unforgiving when those around me demonstrate their human condition. if i look to the my struggles with becoming ready to have my character defects removed and humbling waiting for that to happen, i have a perfect filter to see others. and through that experience i can gain the strength to try my best today to be tolerant and have the hope that i can move beyond my human failings and become more of the man GOD intends me to be.
