δ sometimes my readiness to have my character defects removed depends on what i call them δ

and since i like to spin things and purposely misname things to soften the blow to my ever so fragile ego. so i really understand the whole process of using language to deceive myself, and that is exactly what this is! lies to myself to keep me sick and sicker. i could wax poetic about people pleasing, or being easygoing, but i have done that before. what i really am thinking about today are the terms rationalization and justification. these hundred dollar words sound oh so sophisticated and soften the blow of what they are. lies to myself to remove the feelings of guilt over behavior that i know is wrong. if the behavior was not wrong, what need would i have to justify or rationalize it. well not much more to say, it has been quite a morning and promises to be the same way all day long!

Book 1
2) Therefore the man of skill is a master (to be looked up to) by
him who has not the skill; and he who has not the skill is the helper
of (the reputation of) him who has the skill. If the one did not honour
his master, and the other did not rejoice in his helper, an (observer),
though intelligent, might greatly err about them. This is called 'The
